HR Audit Checklist 

Management

 

Develop an HR Strategy Plan to align HR goals and objectives with organizational goals. Below is ESSHA’s Action Plan with SMART goals: 

 

  1. Establish Clear Communication and identify objectives – 4 weeks 

  2. Develop a strategic plan to align goals and objectives – 1 month

  3. Encourage team members to collaborate with all stakeholders to identify specific goals- 2 months

  4. Implement a review process -3 months 

  5. Monitor, measure, and evaluate performance – 4 months

Create Descriptions for all positions. Below is ESSHA’s Action Plan:

 

  1. Identify positions that require job descriptions

  2. Develop a list of job duties

  3. Outline the title, salary (if needed), and reporting structure

  4. Seek input from board members for description accuracy

  5. Edit the descriptions 

  6. Finalize and publish on site

 

This process will be completed 2 meetings from now or 4 months. 

 

Safety and Security 

 

Create an Action Plan to adhere to OSHA rules. Below is ESSHA’s Action Plan: 

 

  1. Identify potential safety and security hazards – 1 month 

  2. Offer OSHA 10 training – 6 months

  3. Train employees on OSHA rules and reporting. Hold regular safety meetings – 1 week

  4. Establish OSHA reporting procedures and policies – 6 months

  5. Develop a system for reporting and tracking incidents. 8 months

 

Discrimination and Employee Rights

 

Create an Action Plan to train employees on discrimination issues. Below is ESSHA’s Action Plan

 

  1. Increase employee knowledge on discrimination issues in the workplace – 1 month

  2. Provide mandatory training on discrimination issues – 100% attendance is required for 1 month.

  3. Monitor and improve attitudes toward discrimination issues, bring in speakers – 2 months

  4. Increase employee satisfaction with the training and materials- 3 months

  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the training via survey-3 months.  

 

Record Keeping and Documentation 

 

Create an Action Plan to keep all personnel files current. Below is ESSHA’s Action Plan

 

  1. Create a task list for collecting and documenting personnel files- 1 month

  2. Create a filing system- 2 months

  3. Create filing deadlines and a system to track files for 3-months

  4. Create automatic reminders to file-1 month

  5. Create a tracking system to improve accuracy and efficiency – 4 months
